2011 Paddle Tour
On Sunday, July 17, Bunny Wescott, Sibyl French, and Noralee Raymond led a paddle tour at Panther Pond Pines. Using bucket scopes and other viewing devices, attendees were able to view many of the native aquatic plants that populate Panther Pond, in their natural habitat, and to learn about these and other interesting forms of aquatic life. (No invasive plants were found, of course, but recognizing the native plants will help plant patrollers to distinguish any invasives if they're ever found in the lake.)
