

























A Checklist for a Successful Vacation
at Panther Pond

DO get your temporary fishing license if you're a non-resident and want to fish. (You can get your license at the town hall, or order it online.)
DO Get the required milfoil sticker for your boat (You can get your sticker at the town hall, or order it online.)
DO Check your boat for plant fragments before you put it in the water.
DO Remember your sunscreen, bug repellent, medicines, medical equipment . . .
DO Observe the Water Safety Zone.
DO Watch your wake. You are responsible for any damage done by your boat wake; in the case of nesting loons, that damage can be severe indeed.
DO Remember your optics and guidebook, if you're a birdwatcher. (Or your GPS, if you're into geocaching.)
DON'T engage in repeated circling & wake-jumping with a personal watercraft (jetski.)
DON'T try to approach loons. Enjoy them from a distance, please.
DON'T ask for trouble. Learn about the local boating laws, equipment needs, operator age limits, etc.
DON'T rent more boat than you need.
DON'T bring your own firewood.
