RAYMOND EXTENDED DAY (RED) SUMMER PROGRAM POLICIES AND PROCEDURES Calendar and Schedule: The Raymond Extended Day Summer Program operates Monday - Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. Please do not arrive before 7:00 AM! July 4 is considered a holiday and RED will not operate that day. You will not be charged for July 4. Activity Fee: An activity fee of $60 per child is required to enroll in the summer program. This fee goes toward the cost of field trips which your children will attend. This money is non-refundable and non-transferable.Weekly Fees: Weekly users' fees are due on the first day of service. Please refer to the tuition agreement for a breakdown of fees.Enrollment: Enrollment will be handled on a first come, first served basis. (Deadlines for enrollment are strictly enforced.) Refunds: Refunds are not permitted under any circumstances. Late Fees: Our Extended Day Staff is scheduled to leave at 6:00 p.m. Therefore, parents arriving after 6:00 p.m. to pick up children will be charged $1 per minute. This late fee will be payable the next day in cash. Please give the cash directly to the Director who will give the money to the staff member required to stay after 6:00 p.m. to care for your child/ren. The official time will be the time either at the school or the staff member's watch.Sign In/Sign Out: Parents must sign their child/ren into the program in the morning and must sign their children out in the afternoon. Children will not be released to any person not previously authorized by Parent or Guardian. Abuse and Neglect: All staff of the R.E.D. Program are mandated reporters of any suspected child abuse and/or neglect per State law.Divorced or Separate Parents: If there is a court order concerning custody and visitation issues pertaining to your child/ren, we must have a copy of that order on file with the R.E.D. program. If there is no order in our files, we must assume that each parent is entitled to pick up their child/ren and we are legally obligated to release the children to either parent upon request.Damage Policy: In the case of an accident in which damage occurs, R.E.D. will pay for the damage but the parents will be informed and the child will be responsible for some "in kind" service to be determined by the parties involved. In the event of a clearly malicious act as determined by the R.E.D. director, the parents will be responsible for financial ramifications.Children's Code of Conduct: Children entolled in R.E.D. shall be expected to conduct themselves in such a way that the rights and privileges of others are not violated. The Board of Director requires them to respect those individuals in a position of authority and to conform to program rules. Student Suspension /Expulsion Policy: Suspension may be used as a disciplinary measure when other means of correcting misconduct have failed or in the instance of gross misbehavior that threatens the safety of others or violates the Rules of Conduct set by the Board. The Executive Director shall have the authority to suspend students for 5 days or less, for sufficient reason in accordance with Board policy. Appeals must be submitted in writing within 10 working days of suspension to: President of the R.E.D. Board of Directors The R.E.D. Board of Directors will respond to the appeal in writing within 5 working days. Expulsion from the program is undertaken only when all attempts to change unruly or unacceptable behavior are unsuccessful and the above procedure has been followed. |
