2009-2010 School Year Session

Dear Families,

As many of you may know, Kristi Curtis will be moving shortly and will no longer be working with the RED program. In response to this change, the boards of RED and Windham School Age Child Care met and decided that a consolidation of the programs would be beneficial to all.

The Windham S.A.C.C. program has been operating since August of 2002 and currently consists of three programs in three of the Windham schools. The programs serve children in grades K-8. The RED program is similar, though consolidated into one location. The new program will be overseen by Diane Hancock, current Program Director of the S.A.C.C. program. Staff at the RED program will have the option to stay on, and new staff will be hired to serve as Site Director and to replace staff that choose not to stay. At this point, only a few changes are being made in order to give families the opportunity to adjust.

To bring your attention to these changes, as I’m sure you are all curious, please read the list below:

• RED students will be able to attend Windham S.A.C.C. on full days (vacation, in-service, snow days, etc.)

• Some costs will change. Please see below for fee table.

• Breakfast will no longer be served at RED, but is available for students through the school.

• Phone numbers: Diane can be reached at 318-1514 about any administrative concerns and the Site phone number will be 318-2848.

A schedule of dates the programs will be open and closed are linked here as well as a fee sheet for the 2009-2010 school year. Please feel free to call Diane at 318-1514 or email wsacc2002@yahoo.com with any questions. We understand that changes can be confusing and difficult.

Registrations for the 2009-2010 RED program will be accepted starting immediately, until the program is full. Please look closely at the attached price list & calendar and fill out the registration form. You can mail form and registration fee to P.O. Box 839, Windham, Maine 04062. Spots will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Additional paperwork will be sent out shortly after enrollment paperwork is received.
