Cemetery Information

1.  Contact Town Clerk to talk about availability and get a copy of the map of the Cemetery section you are interested in.

2.  Once you find the plot(s) your want to buy, the Town Clerk may ask the Sexton to probe the area to be sure there is no ledge and that there is not already someone in residence (especially in the older sections of the cemeteries).

3.  If the plot(s) is OK to sell, you will need to go to the Town Office, pay for the plot(s) and the Town Clerk will produce a conveyance document.

4.  It is recommended that the buyer take their copy of the conveyance and register it at the Cumberland County Registry of Deeds (not required, but a good idea).
