• On September 2, 2014, the Board of Selectmen voted to include a referendum question on the November 4, 2014 ballot in response to a petition started this past January with 352 valid signatures (9/3/2014) in accordance with Title 20 MRSA §1466.
  • On November 4, 2014, the referundum question regarding whether to withdraw from the RSU passed (SEE RESULTS). The Board of Selectmen will reviewing the materials required for Step 5 (see below). 

The question would need to read:

Do you favor filing a petition for withdrawal with the board of directors of regional school unit RSU14 and with the Commissioner of Education, authorizing the withdrawal committee to expend $25,000 and authorizing the Raymond Board of Selectmen to issue notes in the name of the Town of Raymond or otherwise pledge the credit of the Town of Raymond in an amount not to exceed $25,000 for this purpose?”
