Applications must be postmarked no later than May 15, 2022. The amount to be awarded has yet to be determined and depends on the generosity of folks who donate cans and bottles to our collection sites.

American flags: We hang American Flags on route 302 and Main Street at specified sites before Memorial Day, then take them down after Veterans Day.

Vision Support: We collect used eye glasses to reuse for people in Third World countries. There is a collection box in the Raymond Village Library and at the Raymond Town Office. We provide financial assistance to obtain eyeglasses or an eye exam for Raymond residents who qualify based on the application

Christmas Tree Lighting at Raymond Library: On the Sunday evening after Thanksgiving, the Raymond Lions partner with the Library, Raymond Elementary School and the Raymond Arts Alliance to offer a family oriented experience including Christmas carols, hot chocolate and even a visit from Santa! We have three primary fundraisers. All funds contributed by the public are returned to the public. Administrative funds are raided through member dues.

1. Ongoing bottle drive: We have two bottle collections sites: Raymond Town Hall parking lot and the Jordan Animal Hospital driveway. Half the proceeds going to fund the Lions Club Scholarships and the other half going to multiple organizations such as these Raymond based organization: Food Pantry, Raymond Village Library, Veterans Park, Fire & Rescue, as well as many other regional groups.

2. Christmas Tree Sales: Christmas trees are sold to the public during the first two weekends of December in the parking lot of Swift River Coffee Roasters, using space generously donated to us by the Roasters and the Good Life Market. This is another primary fundraiser for the Club. NOTE: In 2021, the Lions Club could not find a supplier for Christmas trees to sell, so no trees for sale.  We hope we can find a supplier in 2022.

3. Maine Maple Weekend: We host a Maine Maple pancake breakfast on both Saturday and Sunday of Maine Maple weekend. The facilities, equipment and outstanding maple syrup are generously donated by Balsam Ridge Christmas Tree Farm on Eqypt Road. This is another primary fundraiser for the Club. TBD for 2022.
